ABOUT

Government Polytechnic Patna-7 (GPP7 – 118) is an old technical school in Bihar, located in Gulzarbagh, Patna, near Gaighat. The government of Bihar established it to teach engineering and technology. It’s connected with the State Board of Technical Education Bihar and approved by AICTE. The Bihar government provides financial help. It began teaching in 1954 and has been offering engineering diplomas ever since. The college started its first academic session in 1954 on the campus of Government Polytechnic, Gulzarbagh. Initially, it offered eight engineering branches: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Ceramics, Textile, Printing, Electronics, and Computer Science. Each branch accepted 60 students except Ceramics and Textile, which had 30 seats each.
