ABOUT THE SCHOOL

St. Dominic Savio’s High School in Patna, Bihar, was founded by Late Joseph P. Galstaun under Articles 29 and 30 of the Indian Constitution. As a Christian linguistic minority institution, it primarily serves the educational needs of the Anglo-Indian/Christian community, but admission is open to others depending on seat availability.

HOW TO TAKE ADMISSION IN St. Dominic Savio’s School?

Children are enrolled in different classes from January to March based on available spots. To apply, parents can get the Prospectus & Admission form from the office by paying the required fee. After filling the Registration form and submitting it by the deadline, parents will be notified about the verification/screening date. Registration doesn’t guarantee admission, and the principal can reject applicants deemed unsuitable. Once all admission procedures are done, students need to undergo a screening process before final admission. The school follows CBSE norms for admission conditions.

GENRAL CONDITION OF ADMISSION

To be eligible for admission to any class at St. Dominic Savio’s High School, a student must meet the following criteria:

  1. Previous School: The student must have been studying in a school recognized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other recognized board in India.
  2. Qualifying Exam: The student must have passed the qualifying examination for the class they are seeking admission to.
  3. Age Limit: The student must satisfy the age requirements for the class they are seeking admission to. For Nursery, the student must be at least 3 years old, and for Class 1, the student must be at least 6 years old, as per the new education policy.

Transfer Certificate: A Transfer Certificate from a recognized school signed by the Head of the Institution last attended and countersigned by the District Education Officer or a birth certificate from the Registrar, Department of Registration Births & Deaths/Municipal corporation/ Certificate of Baptism for those students who will be attending school for the first time.
  2. Qualifying Examination Documents: Documents in support of having passed the equivalent qualifying examination.
  3. Medical Certificate: A medical certificate regarding general health from a registered practitioner.
  4. Photographs: Three passport size photographs and two group photographs of the student, including the father, mother, and child.
  5. Aadhar Card: An Aadhar Card of the student and parents.
