Don Bosco Academy, Ranchi

Building on the success of the schools in Patna, the management decided to open a branch in McCluskiegunj, District Ranchi, now in Jharkhand, in April 1997. This branch caters to students from standards 1 to 10 (ICSE) for both boys and girls.

The school in Ranchi has been permanently affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, since April 2000, allowing it to conduct the ICSE (Year-10) examinations (Affiliation Code – JH062/2004). Moreover, it holds recognition as a Minority Institution by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Government of India, as per F.No:574/2007-24976 dated 16th January 2008.

McCluskiegunj itself was established on 16th May 1933 by Mr. E.T. McCluskie, a founder member of the Colonization Society of India. The society acquired 10,000 acres of land from the Ratu Maharaja on a perpetual lease to create a homeland for the Anglo-Indian community. The area comprises several villages, with prominent ones being Lapra, Konka, Hesalong, and Mayapur.

  • Cut-off Marks for the Commerce/Humanities Stream:
