About the Role:

As a KG Teacher at LIPS, you will be responsible for the educational and emotional development of children in their foundational years. The early years are critical in a child’s development, and as a teacher, your role will be to guide them through playful learning, creative activities, and structured instruction.

You will work closely with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and interactive learning environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and social skills, while also introducing basic academic concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing Curriculum: Develop and implement an engaging, child-centered curriculum that promotes holistic development – cognitive, physical, social, and emotional.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and friendly classroom environment, fostering positive behavior and mutual respect among students.
  • Interactive Learning: Use interactive teaching methods such as storytelling, role-playing, and hands-on activities to make learning enjoyable and effective for young learners.
  • Assessments: Monitor and assess the progress of each student regularly, providing feedback to parents and addressing any learning challenges early on.
  • Communication with Parents: Establish open communication with parents, updating them on their child’s progress and any concerns, ensuring a collaborative approach to learning.
  • Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in school activities, programs, and events aimed at fostering a sense of community among students, parents, and staff.
  • Adherence to Policies: Follow the school’s policies and guidelines regarding health, safety, and child protection to ensure a secure and positive learning environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this position should have a genuine passion for teaching young children and a strong educational background. We are looking for candidates who can create a vibrant, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment.

  • Educational Qualification:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is required.
    • Montessori or PPTTC (Pre-primary Teacher Training Course) certification is mandatory.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience working as a KG Teacher or in early childhood education is highly preferred.
    • Candidates with experience in the CBSE curriculum are given preference.
  • Language Skills:
    • Fluency in English is essential, as communication and instruction will be primarily in English.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to engage with both children and parents effectively.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm are critical qualities we look for in a KG Teacher.
