Job Position: Accountant

The position of Accountant requires the candidate to be responsible for managing the college’s financial transactions, preparing financial statements, handling accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing Financial Transactions: The Accountant will be responsible for recording all financial transactions, ensuring they are accurately reflected in the accounting software. The candidate must be proficient in using Tally ERP, which is the primary software used for accounting and financial management.
  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. These reports will be used by the management team to make informed decisions about the college’s finances.
  3. Maintaining Accounts: The Accountant will manage the college’s accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. The role also involves ensuring that all payments, receipts, and financial records are accurately maintained and filed.
  4. Taxation and Compliance: Ensuring that the college is compliant with all taxation laws and regulations. This includes preparing and filing tax returns, as well as managing statutory deductions such as GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
  5. Managing Trust and Society Accounts: The college operates as a part of an educational trust and society, and the Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records of the trust and society as well. This involves ensuring proper financial management and compliance with the trust’s regulations.
  6. Audit Support: Assisting during internal and external audits by providing the necessary financial documents and supporting the audit process.
  7. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets, analyzing budget variances, and providing recommendations for financial adjustments to improve the institution’s financial health.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
