Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching & Instruction: Delivering high-quality lessons in English and Social Science to students. Ensure that lessons are interactive and cater to the diverse learning styles of students.
- Curriculum Planning & Execution: Creating comprehensive lesson plans, and adapting curriculum to meet the needs of students. Staying updated with the latest teaching methodologies and incorporating them into daily lessons.
- Student Engagement & Development: Providing individual attention to students who require additional support, motivating them, and encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving. Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assessments & Feedback: Conducting regular assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress. Offering constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and knowledge.
- Parent-Teacher Interaction: Regularly communicating with parents to update them on the academic progress of their children. Addressing any concerns or challenges that may arise in students’ educational journey.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: Involvement in extracurricular activities such as debates, quizzes, and cultural events that contribute to the overall development of the students.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification: A minimum of a graduate degree (BA/BSc) in English or Social Science. A postgraduate degree in the relevant field or a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) will be an added advantage.
- Experience: Prior teaching experience is preferable but not mandatory. Freshers with a strong passion for teaching and a willingness to learn and grow will also be considered.
- Communication Skills: Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken. Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to students of varying age groups.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow educators. A friendly and approachable demeanor to encourage a learning-friendly environment.
- Patience & Adaptability: Ability to handle students of different learning abilities and adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of individual learners.
- Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with basic teaching technologies (such as smartboards, online platforms, and educational apps) is a plus.
