About the Role: Pre-School Teacher
As a Pre-School Teacher at MAKONST Kids Unplugged, you will be responsible for nurturing the early development of children aged 2 to 5 years. This is a critical period in a child’s life, and our pre-school teachers play a vital role in laying the foundation for lifelong learning. You will be part of a dynamic team of educators who are committed to creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Designing and Delivering Lessons: Planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of young children. Lessons should be creative, interactive, and designed to foster cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Promoting Language Skills: Encouraging children to develop their spoken and written English skills through a variety of activities including storytelling, songs, and games.
- Fostering Creativity: Using art and craft activities to enhance children’s fine motor skills and creativity. Your ability to think outside the box and engage children in imaginative play will be highly valued.
- Building Relationships: Establishing positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Effective communication with parents is essential to ensure they are involved in their child’s educational journey.
- Creating a Safe Learning Environment: Ensuring that the classroom is a safe and welcoming space where children feel secure and confident to express themselves.
- Continuous Learning: Engaging in ongoing professional development to keep up with the latest educational trends and techniques in early childhood education.
What We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualities:
- Excellent Spoken English: You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with both children and parents. Strong English language skills are essential for this role as you will be teaching children to develop their language abilities from a young age.
- Great Writing Skills: In addition to spoken English, strong writing skills are required to prepare lesson plans, progress reports, and other educational materials.
- Creativity and Energy: You should be an energetic and enthusiastic individual who can bring creativity into the classroom. Whether it’s through art, music, or storytelling, your ability to engage children in fun and educational activities is crucial.
- Art and Craft Skills: A good grasp of art and craft activities is important, as these are integral to our teaching methods. You should be comfortable guiding children through various creative projects that help them learn and develop new skills.
- Experience: While we prefer candidates with previous teaching experience, we are also open to hiring fresh graduates who have a strong passion for teaching and a relevant educational background.
- Education: A graduate degree in education or a related field is required. Additional qualifications in early childhood education will be an advantage.
