Vacancy Announcement for Teaching Positions

MJF College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, a premier institution in Chomu, Jaipur, Rajasthan, recognized by the Government of India and the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and permanently affiliated with RAJUVAS, Bikaner, invites applications from eligible and qualified candidates for a wide range of teaching positions across various departments. The positions are either currently vacant or likely to become vacant soon.

We are seeking applications for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in multiple academic disciplines related to veterinary and animal sciences. This recruitment drive is an excellent opportunity for both young, dynamic academics and experienced professionals, including retired professors, to contribute to the growth and development of veterinary education.

Departments with Vacancies

Applications are invited for positions across several departments, each of which contributes to the overall educational objectives of veterinary sciences. These departments include:

  1. Veterinary Anatomy (VAN): Focuses on the structural aspects of animals, including comparative anatomy of domestic and wild animals, embryology, and histology.
  2. Veterinary Physiology & Biochemistry (VPB): Deals with the study of physiological functions and biochemical processes in animals. This department forms the foundation of understanding how animals’ bodies function at both cellular and systemic levels.
  3. Livestock Production Management (LPM): Concerned with the scientific principles of breeding, feeding, housing, and managing livestock efficiently for optimized production.
  4. Veterinary Pathology & Parasitology (VPP): This department is critical for diagnosing diseases in animals, understanding pathogens, and the impact of parasitic infections on animal health.
  5. Animal Genetics & Breeding (AGB): The study of genetic principles and their application to animal breeding programs for the improvement of livestock.
  6. Veterinary Nutrition (VNN): Focuses on animal feed and nutrition, ensuring animals receive optimal nutrients for growth, reproduction, and overall health.
  7. Veterinary Public Health (VPH): An important department dealing with zoonotic diseases, public health concerns related to animals, and food safety.
  8. Veterinary Medicine (VMC): Covers diagnostics, treatment, and prevention of diseases in domestic animals.
  9. Livestock Products Technology (LPT): This department studies processing and preservation of livestock products such as meat, milk, and other animal-derived products, ensuring they meet health and safety standards.
  10. Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education (VAHEE): Focuses on the dissemination of knowledge to farmers and animal owners, promoting best practices in veterinary and animal husbandry.
  11. Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology (VPA): Deals with drugs and toxins affecting animals, their interactions, and how to treat cases of poisoning.
  12. Veterinary Surgery & Radiology (VSR): Focuses on surgical interventions and diagnostic imaging in veterinary medicine.
  13. Veterinary Microbiology (VMD): Investigates microorganisms affecting animals, contributing to disease diagnostics and vaccine development.
  14. Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics (VGO): Focuses on reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth in animals.
  15. Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC): A key department that offers practical training to students, involving live cases and clinical services to animals.
  16. Livestock Farm Complex (LFC): Provides hands-on training for students in managing farms and livestock efficiently.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in these departments must meet the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) norms. The detailed eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, experience requirements, and other conditions, are specified in the VCI regulations. It is essential for all applicants to have the necessary qualifications and experience as per these norms.

In addition to regular applicants, retired Veterinary Professors who are below the age of 70 are also encouraged to apply for these positions. Their extensive experience will be an invaluable asset to the institution.
